Renee Glass
Director
Renée Glass is an experienced career development professional with a successful history of creating innovative career-related initiatives and forging successful partnerships.
Under her leadership, the Seton Hill Career and Professional Development Center won a 2016 Model of Excellence award from University Business magazine for our "Fit for the World" program. She has delivered hundreds of presentations on career development topics including presentations at the 2011 and 2012 National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) annual conference on the topic of Bridging the Gap Between Student Affairs and Faculty: A Collaborative Approach to Advising. The unique program, "Brown has Delivered for Seton Hill University" was the 2015 NACE Career Service Excellence Award winner. Renée was selected to participate in the competitive 2012-13 NACE Leadership Advancement Program and has served on the First Destinations Survey Task Force and Conference Planning Committee for NACE.
Her article, "Employing the Liberal Arts: An Academically Integrated Plan for Career Success" was published in the September 2015 NACE Journal. In May of 2013, her article "Bridge the Gap Between Student Affairs and Academic Affairs: The A-Z of Partnering with Faculty" was published in the NACE Journal. She was featured in the July 2014 NACE Spotlight for accomplishments in implementing the First Destination Survey.
Renée holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling - Student Personnel from Edinboro University. She attended Gannon University and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. She earned my Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in 2005 and my Professional Resume Writer Certification in 2014.
George Carter
Assistant Director, Employer Relations
George Carter is an highly creative and results-driven career development professional with excellent leadership skills, passion, and drive.
During his tenure as Assistant Director and previously Employer Relations Coordinator, he was able to create the employer relations program from the ground up and increased the internship and full-time opportunities for the Seton Hill University student / alumni population. George also played a very crucial role in the development of the 2015 NACE Career Service Excellence Award winning program, "Brown has Delivered for Seton Hill University." He was selected to participate in the competitive 2017 - 2018 NACE Leadership Advancement Program and currently sits on the National Association of College and Employers (NACE) Inclusion Committee. George was recently nominated and appointed to The Western Pennsylvania Career Services Association (WestPACS) Executive Board as the Employer Relations Co-Chair. He also sits on the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association (PHRA) Membership, Diversity & College Relations Committee.
George holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Bloomsburg University. He also earned his Professional Resume Writer Certificate in 2014.
Heidi Schuman
Assistant Director, Career Development
Heidi Schuman has over 10+ years in the field of Career Counseling. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of Career Development for the Career and Professional Development Center at Seton Hill Univiersity in Greensburg, PA. Prior positions include Arts & Sciences Career Consultant at the University of Pittsburgh and Assistant Director of the Career Management Center at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She also loves teaching and has taught all ages, from preschool to university level. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Old Dominion University. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Resume Writer, and is certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator.
